#ETBB2017 Attending Author Miracle Austin
About Miracle Austin...
Miracle Austin works in the social work world by day and the writer’s world at night and weekends. She’s a YA/NA cross-genre hybrid author; adults also enjoy her works.
She’s been writing ever since first hearing Drive by The Cars in junior high, which has been one of her biggest inspirations. She rediscovered her writing passion three years ago and now writing is her therapeutic playground. Her first mini-story, PENS, appeared in www.leaves-of-ink.com.
Horror/parnormal are her favorite genres, but not limited to. She enjoys writing diverse flashes, free-verse poems/mini-stories, short stories, and longer works, while threading various social awareness themes into her stories, at times.
Doll is her first debut YA/NA Paranormal novel, which released on 2-14-16—available both in paperback and e-book. Doll recently won the Purple Dragonfly Butterfly Award, 2nd place in the Young Adult category in 2016.
One reviewer shared this about Doll: "A Tour De Force in YA! I loved this novel from start to finish; the characters were developed thoroughly. I believe that adults can enjoy this book as much as teenagers. I loved how the character Tomie (Toe-me) Dupuy was such a relatable character to me. I was bullied in high school myself, and I used to daydream about being a witch and casting spells on my tormentors, so this book was right up my alley!!! The author, Miracle Austin, is in the realm of the greatest YA horror writers, such as Christopher Pike and R.L. Stine. I really cannot wait to read Doll 2, as I am interested in where Miracle will take us this time!” ~Chanel Harry, author of the Skin Witch: Tales of the Soucouyants *****
Boundless will be her second debut work, which will be a YA/NA eclectic short story collection; it will release in the late Fall of 2016.
Miracle enjoys creating playlists that inspire some of her stories and enjoys attending diverse book festivals and comic cons, where she has been so honored to be one of the panelists on some. She’s a Paranormal/Marvel/DC FanGirl!
She presented as a featured author, and a panelist throughout the Teen Book Fest by the Bay in Corpus Christie, Texas in 2-20-16—her first teen book festival. She hopes to present at many more teen book events and conduct school visits in the future.
The highlights of attending the above functions include opportunities to hang out with author friends and meet new authors/readers.
Miracle is currently working on future works and resides in Texas with her family.
Feel free to contact Miracle anytime and follow her on all the social media outlets.
She enjoys communicating with her readers.
